Ronald McDonald House® Pop Tabs

Help the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House® support more than 2,350 families each year by collecting soda pop tabs. It's simple. It's low cost. It's a great way to get involved. Because of the community support for programs such as this, families can stay for no more than $15 a night. This program at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House® began in 1997. That year this site collected 8,417 pounds of tabs. Last year in 2007, they collected 27,201 pounds of tabs. To date, the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House® has collected over 141 tons of tabs which translates into more than $109,320 since the program started eleven years ago. There are no "magic" collection containers. We've seen coffee cans, pretzel jugs, milk cartons all used as collection containers for pop tabs.

Target Take Charge Of Education

Ink Cartridge Recycling

St. Josaphat’s is continuing to collect used printer ink cartridges. Please recycle these cartridges by bringing them to school in a plastic bag to prevent leakage. If your workplace does not recycle, please ask them to give you their used cartridges and help with our recycling program. This is another way to help our school raise needed funds without selling anything.

Abitibi Paper Retriever® Community Recycling Program

The Paper Retriever® collects all types of clean, dry paper. If you haven’t noticed, St. Josaphat’s bright green and yellow container - called the Abitibi Paper Retriever® is placed in the center of the school yard where you can drop off newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs and mail. Recycling can be a successful means of raising money and the Paper Retriever® provides a convenient place to drop off your recycling. Please do NOT include plastic, glass, metal or trash.
