About Us

St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic School is able to offer something unlike any other school in Philadelphia - a private school education at a Catholic school price. We are a small, private school with an average of 25 to 30 students per grade and have been in the community for over 50 years. The school has grown to include students from Pre-Kindergarten to eighth grade.

All rights, privileges, programs, and activities associated with St. Josaphat are available to everyone. Our school accepts all races and national or ethnic origins, and absolutely does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, or in any school administered program.

Home & School Association

Tuition alone does not cover school expenses. The Home & School Association conducts varioius fund-raising activities to raise money throughout the school year, so that St. Josaphat can continue to provide our students with the personalized education unique to our school. The Home & School Association meets once a month during the school year. Fund-raising activities are fun in nature and include community events, sales and bazaars, bowling and skating parties, family bingo, school dances, and even Philadelphia Phantoms tickets.

All parents, guardians, and grandparents are welcome to attend the meetings and participate in and support all school fund-raising projects. Suggestions for future fund-raisers are also appreciated.

An Abundant Library

The school library collection includes a variety of books and videos for classroom use and exciting books for personal reading pleasure. All grades visit the library once a week with the opportunity to checkout enjoyable reading material or support material for classroom assignments. The school library is open throughout the school day from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Enhanced Music Program

St. Josaphat offers a music program to students. This program includes a variety of music activities to choose from, such as choir, band, and hand-bell choir.
